Eso safebox map12/28/2022 This is what I am trying to get a feel for, I never experienced a generic feel when I played the game, the whole questing experience was solid. The caveat to that is maybe they have to make it accessible in order to bring in the money. They just don't have the talent or imagination to explore these topics. Read the morrowind books, there's a lot of weird, interesting stuff there and none of it shows in Clockwork city. So when I finally experienced the clockwork city in Elder Scrolls Online, the only thing I could think of what that the writers had NO imagination and essentially made steam punk robots and technology. Morrowind, if you read the books, the lore, has a LOT of weird. #Eso safebox map seriesI can see it as a niche Werewolf PvP thing since WW is a one bar build by default but other than that, yeah I'll get it eventually but it's not a must have right away for me.įunny you should say that the series is best at its weirdest. I tried it on the PTS and while it does give you some very nice buffs at the cost of no bar swapping it just doesn't compare to how powerful the 20% self-heal from damage done from Pale Order is. Having said that, the Oakensoul ring is not going to replace my Ring of the Pale order for soloing. I wasn't around for Blackwood release but apparently they did the same there some are saying - that is, putting a lead for a sought after mythic inside safe boxes and then subject to an RNG chance.Īpparently ZOS got a lot of flack for doing that and from what I read a lot of players can't believe they did it again. No desire to to go do that grind, camp safe boxes and try to beat all the other campers to be the one to pick the lock and then hope it's not a master level lock, fail it, and have someone else grab it lol. I have done all the other leads for the Oakensoul Ring except Murkmire. Imo, Zenimax's PR team have really let the ball down by not showcasing this ingenious next-level mmo feature. I think when people see this they are going to be clamouring to jump into ESO. I will post some footage of it here tomorrow if I get the time. It is a truely inspiring and revolutionary gameplay experience. I think the most interesting thing about the expansion is the new gameplay mechanic they introduced for acquiring the mythic item.Īre you talking about the Murkmire safebox grind? Since the story is the emphasis I am hoping its DAMN good. If its true Game of Thrones intrigue, it will interest me. I am on the fence with getting High Isle and mainly I am waiting to see how the "palace intrigue" plays out. But it always the same "I want the comfy pair of jeans until I realize its the comfy pair of jeans." I know that may not make much sense and its hard to explain. I agree with you and as I said in other threads, your posts make me want to play. I think how you feel about those two different approaches has a lot to do with whether you're currently craving new and exciting or familiar. The familiar things in the game here are the exception but the majority of things have morphed into unrecognizable new things. This is the exact opposite of Blizzard's approach with retail WOW where, if you're gone for a similar period of time it feels alien and like a totally different game. I did have to figure out some new things like the new CP system, Antiquities and a few other twists but it felt essentially like the same old ESO and that can be a good thing. It feels comfy like an old pair of jeans. I was gone for nearly two years, came back in January and had very few new systems to learn. Just to play the devil's advocate I'll just say that their "by the numbers" approach makes it very easy to go away for a while and come back to a familiar game.
